Many students or users of the site are tired of being low leveled users who use weak attacks that don't harm anyone effectively.  As a result to fixing this issue there are many ways a user can rank up.  Some take longer than the others.

1. Graduation, A student or user can rank up to next year grade by graduating the said grade. In order for a user to graduate certain precautions must be made, the student must get an okay from two teachers as well as the needed combat skills to fight the trial.  There will be two types of tests in order for a student or user to graduate first is the preliminary which is multiple choice and is given via PM, this will test on your knowledge of the elements, weapons, skills, and other various subjects. This must be paraphrased we will know if you wrote word for word out of the rules or anywhere else. The second test is the trial by fight, this will be done one of two ways. First the student will fight the teacher and will have to keep themselves defended for a total of 10 posts if the user can not last this long then they are eliminated.

Second way is battle challenge, two users who want to graduate will face each other, the rank up is not given to the user who wins it is given to the user who is smart tactical and well prepared, so the loser could rank up, winner, or perhaps both.2. Year Skip, During events years might be skipped forward in reply to this many users might skip a rank and go directly to sophomore or senior year. This will be a very rare occasion but it will serve a purpose if an event calls for it.  This is why all users must pay attention to the events of the site in case of a year skip.  This does not mean due to the year skip you get free combat skills that are higher ranks you still have to train.3. Battling, Users can rank up via battles.

 This is a system set up for the Battle Arena in the travel section.  A User has the ability to challenge someone of the same rank as them or someone higher. Be aware that if the user challenges someone of a higher rank their is a probability that the user weaker will loose.  A user can make only one challenge, once the challenge is finished they are allowed to challenge again.  The set up for ranking up is very simple.
• Fighting someone of the same rank, when a user challenges someone of the same rank, they do not rank up right away they must fight someone of the same rank at least three times to rank up.
  
  
• Fighting someone of a higher rank, this is different depending on how high of a rank the opponent is you may rank up instantly or later.  If the user is one rank higher than you, you must fight the equivalent of one rank higher and two ranks of the same. If the user is two ranks higher than you, you must fight the equivalent of one two rank higher than you and one rank the same.  If the user is three or four ranks higher than you, you rank up instantly.
  
  4.Attending Class, The amount of classes attending at the academy will also make up for a rank up.  Though you must take a specific amount of each class to rank up. When you believe you are eligible to rank up you must post a thread with the links to all class threads your character has attended. In order for it to count you must exit the thread and completed the class completely.  The specific count for the classes go as followed:
  
  
• English: Two classes
  
  
• Combat Training: Two classes
  
  
• History: One Class
  
  
• Others: One Class
  

Side Note: In order to complete a class a certain word count must be made for each Year.

Freshman:All classes must be a total of 750 Words each with Teacher present. The teacher halves the word count.

Sophomore:All classes must be a total of 1500 Words each with Teacher present. The teacher halves the word count.

Junior: All classes must be a total of 2250 Words each, If teacher is present word count is halved.  If student has an apprenticeship in the field of the class they are taking then they only have to do 1000 words each.

Senior: All classes must be a total of 3000 Words each, If teacher is present word count is halved.  If student has an apprenticeship in the field of the class they are taking then they only have to do 500 words each.
